Julia is a mediator and facilitator whose work is informed by nonviolent communication and rooted in an intersectional approach to liberation. Julia believes that true social transformation requires uprooting all systems of oppression and replacing them with systems that support healing, connection and right-relationship to self, community and ecosystems.
In her work with the Consensus Building Institute, Julia mediates and facilitates complex public policy processes, often related to earth systems. Julia also coordinates the CA Agricultural Mediation Program, which provides free mediation to the CA farming community. She is the very happiest when on her bicycle, near the ocean, or with her Nana.
